I developed a strong interest in the world of nutrition and dietetics competing as a Division I tennis player at the University of Connecticut. I found the relationship between food and performance intriguing, and decided right there that I wanted to make a career out of it. I do not believe in diets and restrictions. I believe that all foods we love can be enjoyed with the proper balance. My goal as a Registered Dietitian is to help others find a healthy relationship with food, and enhance their performance through proper nutrition.
I completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Connecticut in the Didactic Program for Dietetics. I then had the opportunity to complete a Master's degree and a dietetic internship at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.
I began my dietetic career at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston as a Clinical Dietitian, and then accepted a position at the Cambridge Eating Disorder Center (CEDC) as a Registered Dietitian. Along with my inpatient and eating disorder experience, Emilie has volunteered for two U.S. Division I sports nutrition programs.
I am currently working at Laura Moretti Nutrition LLC and I am the Registered Dietitian for Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) within the recreation department. I am a Board Certified Sports Dietitian (CSSD) and recently have joined Boston Children's Hospitals Female Athlete Program in the Department of Sports Medicine.
